This is a yes AND no. My online presence reflects my abilities around social media, writing and public speaking, but I'm not exactly sure it highlights the field into which I'd like to transition.

I don't think that internet can reflect my personality fully and especialy it cannot determine my career goals. For me, internet is more like fun, that is why I can write a nyrhing I want there, which I cannot do in my resume.

my internet presence is all personal stuff so I woudn't want my boss seeing my stuff. I never thought about the internet being my resume but I guess Dorie Clark is right.

It's a full time job keeping up apoearances on social media. I feel like the trend is going to reverse one day and people are going to rebel against all this nonsense.

Employers check out applicants online these days. It sucks but if your social media presence isn't profesh than you risk losing out on jobs!

I am not practicing what I preach here, but it is so true that the internet is your resume. It's so important to maintain your presence on social channels.

Dorie Clark has really amazing insights on how to further your career. I had the privilege of speaking with her and literally wanted to be taking details notes the entire time. She told me that while the internet is huge since it is used by employers who are googling you to get an idea of who you are, she also said that it is not everything! But she did inspire me to start fine-tuning my social media and online presence reflect my goals.

My LinkedIn does but that's about it. My other social channels are private and I'm keepin' 'em that way for the time being since I primarily use them to interact with friends and family. I just think with the Internet and mobile phones, the distinction between our professional and private lives has blurred sooo much. I kind of resent the idea that my online presence needs to be one big resume. However, the times they are a-changin', and maybe it's time I get on board!
