I can't believe that we are still fighting for gun control after Sandy Hook

As things are going right now, yes the 2nd amendment is preventing our children right to to a safe education. I know my cousins school does a monthly "code red" drill to practice what to do if there is a shooting. This is crazy. Once a month, they have to stop learning and barricade themselves in their rooms. Talk about interrupting a classroom.

This is such a complicated question and so complicated to answer. I really do think that their are multiple issues that are causing the mass shootings and the school shootings. The number one issue is the lack of care for mental illness and general health care in the United States. I don't really know how to fix it, but something needs to be done. And soon.

Such a good question. I'm not sure whether it's the easy access to guns or the mentality of the people who get their hands on them that underly this terrible trend in violence.
