This is most definitely not the answer. This video is sad and disheartening and most definitely causes a panicked desire to protect ourselves, but carrying a gun is not the answer.

Women aren't the only ones who get raped. If that is put into context, then it would instead state should people carry guns to avoid rape. The answer is yes, because we have our second amendment right to protect our person and our belongings. That being said, if a woman wants to use a gun to protect herself, then she should be able to do so.

The majority of women are sexually assaulted by someone they know, and someone who they have already given some form of consent. Guns just exacerbate violence, and will not deter sex crimes on campus.

It's disgusting that legislators would take advantage of the sexual assault epidemic. I'm blinded by that and I honestly can't objectively comment on whether or not this is a good idea.
