Excellent reminder of the value of quiet time for reflection and investing one's undivided time and attention with family. Thanks for posting.

I agree it is a fabulous way to connect with your family. I doubt I have the strength to pull it off.

Not sure because while I fully support taking a tech shabbat every week, I'm not sure it's a foolproof way to reconnect. Ditch the tech but make sure to open lines of communication and take time to try new things - game night, camping, etc.

I'm sure it's a great idea, but personally (for better or worse) I can't turn off technology completely for 24 whole hours. I am mindful however of how much time I spend online and how much time I spend with my family.

Of course, but who knows what it takes to get those kids to actually engage and not just stir in resentment until they get their ipads back.

Sounds great in theory, but I bet the adults go through withdrawal within an hour!
