Being a mom is challenging enough. Adding mental illness into the mix makes it early impossible. I salute this mama for her bravery and honesty!

I was raised in foster care after my mother tried to kill my sister and me with herself. I deal with nightmares, anxiety, depression. Well PTSD. I got my children raised fine. It was when every I had nothing to fill my time the nightmares started and the down hill sprial led to the full on breakdown. I lost people in my life due to them thinking I could control it. The anxiety is my hurdle to get over. I am so tired. I have FMLA for work. The triggers are everywhere.

I just want to give her a big hug ! I suffer from anxiety , luckily thus far , it hasn't escalated but you never know if and when it will. She's a strong woman for talking about it. I am happy she was able to recognize that she needs help. That proves she is extremely sane. She's just an overwhelmed mom who's body had this extreme response to stress and I totally get that. I wish her the very best and I'm so happy she shared this for other women to see. It doesn't make a person weak it makes them strong to face the problem head on. I wish her the best.

I think it's incredibly brave of her to admit that she's feeling depressed, as a lot of mothers with depression hide that about themselves.
